About the Band

The Jellyfish is a new ensemble brought together by saxophonist/clarinetist, Jacob Gorzhaltsan. The music of the band blends a variety of influences, instruments, rhythms and sounds from around the world in a free-improvised, loop-based musical setting. With an emphasis on interaction and communication between musicians, the Jellyfish takes audiences on a musical and explorative journey of spontaneous composition. 

The core members of the Jellyfish include Jacob Gorzhaltsan (sax/clarinet/looper), Ewen Farncombe (keys/fx) and Ravi Naimpally (tabla). The Jellyfish have also featured a variety of remarkable guests in past shows, including: Michael Eckert, Kevin Breit, Tom Richards, and Karen Ng.
